City of Athens Symphony Orchestra & Chorus
In the frame of the anniversary of the 100 years from the birth of Maria Callas, the Symphony Orchestra and the Chorus of the City of Athens present a concert that pays tribute to the great diva of opera. Arias and pieces from operas that Maria Callas had interpreted, having performed in both musical and stage terms, in her own unique way are being presented in this tribute, with the participation of three distinguished opera singers, in a performance directed by the Italian conductor Sebastiano Rolli.
There will be presented pieces of works by Verdi, Gluck, Cherubini, Mascagni, Mozart, Bellini, Bethoven, Donizetti, Puccini and Rossini.
