The opera “Prince Ivan and the Firebird”, created for children and young spectators by the composer and director Theodoros Ambazis and presented with great success by the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera at the season of 2017-2018, is being produced in Olympia Theatre for nine performances.
When the Zar Vitslav discovers his precious golden apples are starting to disappear, he commissions his three children Dmitri, Wassily, and Ivan to catch the thief. In return, he offers them his kingdom. The youngest, Ivan, the most spoiled and arrogant one, fools his brothers and begins a breathtaking trip into the Black Forest of the Magician king Koshei, and so the adventure begins!
Children, using a magical cupboard as their vehicle, travel in lush green forests, palaces and otherwordly places, where everything can happen.
Vivid colours, magical tricks and on-stage transformations alltogether create an unforgettable musical and theatrical experience.
